Sanka Indian Street Food
OPENING AUGUST 16th!
Coming next month there will be a new Tiny Cloud Kitchen popping up in Highgate. Sanka Indian Street Food is coming to London by way of South India.
Classic South Indian delicacies like Vadai Masala and Vadai Methu have been brought to the forefront of Chef Sankar Doss’s eclectic menu.
Vadai are very popular street snacks made from black lentils.
The fritter batter is gently fried creating a crispy exterior and soft inside. They are classically served with Sambar for dipping and there is no breaking with tradition here.
Rich and creamy coconut chutney and Sambar are there prefect compliment to both Vadai Methu and its crispier counterpart Vadai Masala.
Idly and Uthappam have long been a staple food for the people of South India. With batters made from rice and black lentils, these dishes are packed with protein.
Idly are delicately steamed and mild in flavour, the perfect host to showcase the balance of tastes in the zingy chutneys and sambar that come with. You can choose your Idly plain or enjoy the Idly Masala blended with spices.
Tomato, Coriander, Coconut and Mango Chutneys are freshly made in house and packed with sweet and tangy flavours. Maintaining Chef Sankar Doss’s desire to keep Sanka Indian Street Food’s menu bright and herbaceous, these delectable Chutneys are paired with many of the dishes and can be purchased separately.
And what Indian menu would be complete without flavoursome curries and fluffy basmati rice. Not shying away from spices, Sanka Indian Street Food’s curries are packing a punch.
Stay tuned, we will be launching on 16 August 2020 and will keep you posted!
